Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a Sporting Systems Technician to join the Track Systems team. You will install and manage the F1 timing data acquisition system at race locations, reporting to the Engineering Manager - Sporting Systems.

The role involves outdoor work in diverse global destinations, safe handling of cables, and configuring data using F1 software to ensure correct operation of company systems.

Qualifications

• Fault finding on electrical/electronic wiring systems.
• Reading, understanding and working to wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of IP addressing, TCP/IP communications.

Responsibilities

• Install timing loops, beacons and track sensors on track surface and in pits.
• Install, test and terminate co-axial cables and data cables used for data communications.
• Test and verify correct function of timing data acquisition equipment and related hardware.
