Job summary

Formula 1 is seeking a Fibre Systems Technician to join the Circuit Networks team. You will deploy, operate and maintain fibre optic infrastructure that supports live broadcasts, timing, telemetry and communications at events worldwide.

The role requires hands-on testing, configuration and fault finding of trackside systems, with travel to international circuits and potential long hours including UK and overseas assignments.

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on telecoms, broadcasting or related field.
• Proficient with wiring diagrams and fault-finding.
• Ability to work to high standards in delivery and presentation.
• Knowledge of project teams and system testing.

Responsibilities

• Optically testing, inspecting and commissioning fibre networks at events.
• Build systems within project teams to high standards.
• Configure and monitor broadcast, IT and communications networks.
• Maintain equipment lists and liaise with freight and supply chains.
• Provide fault finding and support for trackside systems (cameras, telemetry, timing).
• Assist in race event prep and liaise to ensure timely circuit network readiness.
