Job summary

Jewson Kendal is recruiting for a Tool Hire Manager to lead the Tool Hire function at the Kendal branch. You will deliver safe, profitable tool hire operations, build customer relationships, and drive cross-selling and upselling to meet branch targets.

You will coach and develop the Tool Hire team, manage stock and inquiries, and work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Strong customer focus with ability to grow sales.
• Proven ability to deliver sales growth through cross-selling and upselling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Tool Hire team to provide safe, efficient service.
• Deliver tool hire targets with cross-selling and upselling.
• Build relationships with customers and identify growth opportunities for tool hire sales.
• Coach and develop colleagues, providing feedback to reach potential.
• Manage tool hire stock, inventory, and availability to meet demand.
• Maintain Health & Safety standards and operational processes.
• Support deliveries and collections when required, ensuring safe handling.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints to deliver positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager and team to deliver excellent customer experience.
• Lead regular team communications and foster a positive, customer-focused culture.
