Job summary

Jewson Colwick is seeking a confident Tool Hire Manager to lead day-to-day tool hire operations at our Colwick branch, ensuring efficient, safe service and strong customer interactions. You will drive cross-selling to grow profitability and supervise the tool hire team under the Branch Manager's guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience in tool hire is preferred.
• Supervision of the branch tool hire team in support of Branch Manager.
• Active cross-selling and upselling to customers to grow tool hire profitability.
• Strong customer service focus and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient, effective and safe operations.
• Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro‑active cross selling.
• Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members, assisting in their development and supporting them to deliver a high‑quality customer experience.
• Deliver and collect customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders are accurate and all equipment is secured and loaded/offloaded safely in accordance with company procedures.
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire product.
• Ensure tool hire standards are always maintained.
• Ensure inventory and availability levels are appropriate to meet customer needs, collaborating across the local network .
