Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is seeking a hands-on tool hire delivery operative. You will manage day-to-day delivery activities, contribute to branch growth through proactive customer engagement, and ensure accurate orders with careful loading and unloading of equipment.

You’ll perform pre-delivery checks, assist colleagues with product knowledge, and handle paperwork while inspecting and basic-repairing tools. A supportive environment awaits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resources to ensure safe operations.
• Lead by example in building relationships through regular customer interaction and cross-selling.
• Deliver and collect customer orders, ensure accuracy and secure loading/unloading.
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge of tool hire products.
• Conduct pre-delivery checks to ensure tools are clean, safe and operational.
• Complete relevant delivery paperwork and record keeping.
• Inspect, test, and carry out basic repairs on tools and small plant.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient,effectiveand safe operations
• Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro-active cross selling
• Deliver and collect customer ordersin a timely manner, ensuring orders areaccurateand all equipment is secured and loaded/offloaded safelyin accordance withcompany procedures
• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire product
• Conduct pre-delivery checks to ensure tools and machinery are clean, safe, and fully operational
• Complete all relevant delivery paperwork and record keeping
• Inspect, test, and carry out basic repairs on a range of tools and small plant (e.g., breakers, saws, mixers, access equipment)
