Job summary

Jewson, part of Stark UK, is recruiting a Tool Hire Manager for its Hull branch. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday 7:30–17:00 with every other Saturday 08:00–12:00, and involves delivering tool hire operations, leading the team, and driving sales while ensuring safety and high customer satisfaction.

You will supervise the tool hire team, manage inventory, and support the Branch Manager in delivering excellent service at the Hull branch (HU7 0XU).

Qualifications

• Experience in tool hire operations or retail environments.
• Ability to lead a team and deliver strong customer service.
• Proven skills in upselling and cross-selling to customers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the branch tool hire team in support of the Branch Manager.

We are recruiting for a Tool Hire Manager, to join our thriving Jewson branch in Hull, HU7 0XU.

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday7:30 –17:00, and every other Saturdayfrom08:00-12:00.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver day-to-day tool hire activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient, effective and safe operations

• Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro-active cross selling

• Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members, assisting in their development and supporting them to deliver a high-quality customer experience

• Deliver and collect customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders are accurate and all equipment is secured and loaded/offloaded safely in accordance with company procedures

• Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire products

• Ensure tool hire standards are always maintained

• Ensure inventory and availability levels are appropriate to meet customer needs, collaborating across the local network

• Supervision - Effective supervision of the branch tool hire team in support of Branch Manager

• Sales - Effective contribution to Tool hire growth & profitability vs target by actively cross-selling and upselling to customers

• As part of the role, you will be required to drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
