We are looking for an exceptional person to join the Tobacco Dependency Team as a Tobacco Dependency Advisor to support at operational level the delivery of an effective smoking cessation programme which is embedded within the Trust wide Smoke free Policy. The post holder will work collaboratively with Tobacco Dependency Advisor Lead, frontline teams and stakeholders to deliver specialist smoking cessation service across Oxford Health Foundation Trust ensuring a seamless journey for patients in our care. This role is responsible for the delivery of smoking cessation behaviour support to service users on a one to one or group basis in line with evidence-based guidelines. The post-holder will be expected to deliver interventions within locally defined areas covering a range of settings and to support Tobacco Dependency Lead in training delivery to staff. To deliver high quality, evidence-based tobacco dependence treatment and smoking cessation support to individuals across our mental health inpatient settings. The role involves providing behavioural support, pharmacotherapy advice, harm reduction strategies, and onward referral to community services. Advisors will work flexibly across sites to promote temporary abstinence and long-term cessation. The post holder will also support the implementation of Trust-wide smoke free policies and contribute to service development. The post holder will also support the development delivery of training to colleagues across the Trust.
