Job summary

Howdens Joinery in the UK is seeking a driven Territory Sales Representative to grow our local trade account base. You will win new business, nurture relationships with depots, and turn conversations into long-term trade partnerships across your territory.

In this field-based role you’ll work with depot teams, manage workload autonomously, and focus on sustainable growth through proactive outreach, strong product knowledge, and excellent account management. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business in a sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated, resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product knowledge in joinery and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Grow and manage the account base across your territory, supporting each depot's performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and articulate its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing partners.
• Handle customer enquiries from initial contact to resolution.
• Contribute to team meetings with insights and performance updates.
• Keep data accurate and visible across activity and pipeline.
