Job summary

West Herts College is seeking term-time Learning Support Assistants to join the Foundation Studies team. You will work with students who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities, helping them access a wide range of programmes and College life.

You will be part of a supportive, busy team, providing preparation and monitoring of individual learning plans and EHCPs, maintaining accurate records, and assisting teaching staff to remove barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Able to support learners at Entry level and assist with assessments.
• Proactive, professional and able to work with teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of personalised learning opportunities in Foundation Studies.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring individual learning plans and EHCPs.
• Maintain accurate learner records and support assessment processes.
• Collaborate with agencies and the college team to remove barriers to learning.
