North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a dedicated Tenancy Support Worker to help prevent homelessness and support residents in its Accommodation Service. The role focuses on safeguarding, assessing needs, and enabling independent living within supported accommodation and temporary housing settings.

You will join a supportive team and work with partner agencies to deliver person-centred services, monitor outcomes, and promote stability for residents with complex needs.

Formación

• Experience of working with vulnerable people, ideally within housing, homelessness, support, social care or related services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
• An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping or complex needs.
• The ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsabilidades

• Delivering one-to-one support sessions tailored to individual needs.
• Developing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments.
• Undertaking welfare visits and property inspections.
• Supporting residents to access benefits, healthcare and specialist support services.
• Promoting independent living skills, wellbeing and tenancy sustainment.
• Working closely with partner agencies and attending multi-agency meetings.
• Supporting residents to overcome barriers and progress towards independent living.
• Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
• Maintaining accurate case records and monitoring outcomes.
