Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a resilient Supported Housing Project Worker for a temporary scheme in Leicestershire. The role provides on-site support to 11 residents accessed via the homelessness pathway, focusing on tenancy sustainment, independent living skills and stability.

Start date is 12 November, with a rota-based pattern and 25 hours per week. The role requires experience with homelessness in a supported housing setting, DBS clearance, and ability to respond to crises while delivering

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people experiencing homelessness in a supported housing setting.
• Ability to complete needs and risk assessments and develop support plans.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to challenging situations and crises.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-tenancy interviews and financial capability assessments.
• Complete needs and risk assessments and develop support plans.
• Provide a psychologically informed environment (PIE) to support residents.
• Explain tenancy rights and responsibilities to residents.
• Advise on welfare benefits and benefit claims.
• Promote independence and practical life skills for tenancy sustainment.
• Facilitate resident meetings and record minutes with follow-up actions.
• Collect feedback and report findings to senior management.
• Maintain records on Orchard and InForm systems and report KPIs.
• Log repairs and arrange service appointments.
• Complete health and safety checks and monitor voids and rent arrears.
• Ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with internal and external agencies to coordinate referrals and support.
