Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Caretaker in Canterbury for a part-time, temporary position starting as soon as possible. This role focuses on maintaining a secure, clean, and well-presented school site to support staff and students.

The ideal candidate will have caretaker or maintenance experience, a practical, hands-on approach, and a good grasp of health & safety guidelines. You may work independently or with the site team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance background (preferred).
• Basic understanding of property upkeep and relevant health & safety guidelines.
• Practical, hands-on mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work independently as well as within a collaborative team.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
• Valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure, and well-presented school site.
• Assist with day-to-day running of a busy school environment on a temporary basis.
• Ensure premises remain clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
