Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting a local secondary school in Herefordshire to recruit a part-time, temporary Caretaker for an immediate start at Little Cowarne. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented site, supporting day-to-day operations and working with the site team to ensure a positive environment for students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have caretaker or maintenance experience, awareness of health and safety guidelines, and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Previous caretaker, site assistant, or maintenance background (preferred).
• Basic understanding of property upkeep and relevant health & safety guidelines.
• Practical, hands-on mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work independently as well as within a collaborative team.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
• Valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure and well-presented site and support day-to-day running of the school premises.
• Work closely with the site team and senior leadership to ensure smooth operation and a positive environment for students and staff.
