Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Caretaker for a part-time role at a school in Upminster, Essex. Qualifications

• Previous caretaking or facilities experience preferred.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding checks and school training.

Responsibilities

• Open/secure school premises as required.
• Carry out routine checks of buildings, classrooms and external areas.
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, defects and potential hazards.
• Check doors, windows, locks and access points for damage or faults.
• Maintain clean, tidy and safe communal areas.
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment when required.
• Prepare rooms and facilities for meetings, assemblies and school activities.
• Support site security and follow visitor access procedures.
