Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a Temporary Lettings Assistant in Leicester to support a housing association team. You will engage with prospective tenants, conduct property viewings and guide applicants through the lettings process.

The role backs a backlog of vacant properties and requires travel between properties, strong customer service, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confident in face-to-face interactions with tenants.
• Professional, friendly and approachable manner.
• Experience in housing, lettings, property or a customer-facing environment preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with tenants from diverse backgrounds.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between properties.
• Available Monday to Friday for the duration of the temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property viewings with prospective tenants across Leicester and surrounding areas.
• Meet with prospective tenants face-to-face and provide a professional, welcoming service.
• Support tenants through the lettings process and help them complete paperwork.
• Assist with signing tenants up to properties and completing relevant documentation.
• Liaise with tenants, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth lettings process.
• Help reduce backlog of vacant properties by progressing lets efficiently.
• Provide clear information and guidance to tenants throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure information is updated promptly.
• Travel between properties and locations across Leicester and surrounding areas.
