Job summary

Niyaa People in Leicester is seeking an interim housing partnerships specialist to strengthen our homelessness prevention efforts. You will develop relationships with landlords, letting agents and housing providers to identify accommodation opportunities and establish referral pathways for clients facing barriers to housing.

We are offering a hybrid, interim assignment (3–6 months) with a competitive day rate and a focus on delivering practical outcomes quickly, shaping funded accommodation

Qualifications

• Experience in housing procurement or homelessness services.
• Strong relationships with landlords and housing providers.
• Knowledge of the private rented sector and local authority housing services.
• Understanding of rough sleeping and tenancy sustainment.
• Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with private landlords, letting agents, housing associations and Registered Providers.
• Identify and progress accommodation opportunities across Leicestershire.
• Develop referral pathways, partnership agreements and service-level agreements.
• Explore alternative accommodation models to improve access to housing.
• Work with local authorities and support services to address barriers associated with rough sleeping and complex needs.
• Attend housing forums and partnership meetings to develop new opportunities.
• Deliver practical outcomes quickly to support project mobilisation.
