Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking an interim specialist to strengthen its homelessness project across Leicestershire. The role centers on building landlord and provider relationships, identifying accommodation opportunities, and developing partnerships to drive quicker, practical outcomes.

The assignment is 3–6 months, with a hybrid work pattern (roughly 2 days in the office) and a day rate of up to £400, starting as soon as possible. This is a meaningful, impact-driven interim position.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing procurement, landlord liaison, homelessness services, or accommodation partnerships.
• Strong relationships with landlords, letting agents, or housing providers.
• Knowledge of local authority housing services and the private rented sector.
• Understanding of rough sleeping, complex needs and tenancy sustainment.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results at pace.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with private landlords, letting agents, housing associations and Registered Providers.
• Identify and progress accommodation opportunities across Leicestershire.
• Develop referral pathways, partnership agreements and service-level agreements.
• Explore alternative accommodation models to improve access to housing.
• Work with local authorities and support services to address barriers associated with rough sleeping and complex needs.
• Attend housing forums and partnership meetings to develop new opportunities.
• Deliver practical outcomes quickly to support project mobilisation.
