Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting on behalf of a leading supported housing organisation for an experienced Housing Support Officer to provide urgent temporary cover for an initial 4-week period at a specialist service in Coventry.

You will support individuals experiencing homelessness and complex needs, manage a caseload, build trusting relationships, and work with external agencies to promote independence and move-on opportunities. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with homelessness and complex needs.
• Experience in supported housing or homelessness services.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Caseload management with high-quality one-to-one and group support.
• Develop and review outcome-focused support plans and risk assessments.
• Support residents with rent, budgeting and tenancy management.
• Maintain accurate case records and safeguarding compliance.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities, police, health services and partner agencies.
• Engage residents to develop practical housing and independent living skills.
• Work in a shift rota within 8am–8pm, and participate in weekends/bank holidays on-call rota.
