Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent).
  • Strong IT literacy and ability to use multiple systems.
  • Basic networking concepts, TCP/IP.
  • Experience in helpdesk, service desk or technical support.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Desirable: telecom or technical support experience with remote tools.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for technical support queries.
  • Troubleshoot and track faults through to resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain telecommunications networks.
  • Validate and coordinate engineer jobs across the business.
  • Deploy remote updates, patches, screen changes and password updates.
  • Configure routers and profiles for new installations.
  • Provide regular updates to internal teams, customers and suppliers.
  • Manage stock processes, including router orders and Bybox management.
  • Support system migrations and deployment projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective operation of the support desk.
  • Prepare detailed handovers for colleagues and shift teams.
