Job Overview

Multi‑Skilled Technician – Southend Campus. The role will provide planned and reactive maintenance to the Fabric and M&E services throughout the College estate. It will be part of the team responsible for maintaining the estate and its buildings to a high standard, undertaking a range of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance duties using a wide range of resources.

Role Description

Line managed by the Managing Engineer (Building Services) and working closely with other maintenance staff and key Estates staff.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Carry out planned maintenance, repairs and refurbishment across all College sites.
  • Be involved in small to mid‑range refurbishment works.
  • Provide emergency breakdown cover in the first instance to College plant.
  • Be multi‑skilled with the ability to respond to both Fabric and M&E works.
  • Undertake repairs and service.
Qualifications

Previous experience working with both Fabric and M&E services; willing to work towards a professional qualification (e.g., Plumbing) if not already held.
