Delve Search - Global Search Consultants is partnering with a global manufacturer to appoint a Technical Sales & Specification Manager. This home-based role focuses on the UK data centre market, building relationships with consultants, design teams and contractors to influence cooling specifications early in projects.

You will work with international teams to identify opportunities, provide technical guidance and progress opportunities through the sales cycle in a remote-working setup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data centres, HVAC, MEP, building services or critical infrastructure.
• Experience in technical sales, consultant engagement or engineering consultancy.
• Strong understanding of cooling systems and data centre infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with data centre consultants, MEP engineers, contractors and operators across the UK.
• Identify upcoming data centre projects during concept, planning and design stages.
• Influence basis of design documents and tender requirements for cooling equipment.
• Deliver technical guidance and presentations on cooling solutions including CRAH/CDU.
• Develop a qualified project pipeline with sales and technical teams.

Technical Sales Manager – Cooling Solutions

Location: UK – Remote / Home-Based

Do you have an established network of consultants, MEP designers and contractors within the UK data centre market?

Are you experienced in influencing technical specifications and getting involved in projects at the design stage?

Would you like to play a key role in developing the UK market for an established international manufacturer?

I'm partnering with a global manufacturer of specialist cooling and climate control equipment looking to appoint a Technical Sales & Specification Manager.

The business supplies engineered cooling solutions for critical infrastructure, supporting customers with energy efficiency, cooling performance and operational reliability.

With ambitious growth plans for its Data Centre division, the company is creating a new position focused on developing its presence within the UK data centre design and specification market.

The Opportunity

You’ll build relationships with data centre consultants, MEP designers, design and build contractors and colocation operators, identifying upcoming projects and influencing cooling specifications from the earliest stages.

This is a technical, relationship-led commercial role, where you’ll work alongside international sales and engineering teams to develop project opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build relationships with data centre consultants, MEP engineers, contractors and operators across the UK.
• Identify upcoming data centre projects during the concept, planning and design stages.
• Influence Basis of Design documents, technical specifications and tender requirements for cooling equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and deliver presentations on CRAH, CDU and other data centre cooling solutions.
• Develop a qualified project pipeline, working closely with sales and technical colleagues to progress opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 8 years’ experience within data centres, HVAC, MEP, building services or critical infrastructure.
• Experience in technical sales, consultant engagement, specification management or engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical understanding of cooling systems, HVAC equipment or data centre infrastructure.
• Ability to build relationships with consultants and influence technical decisions during project design.
• Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Building Services, Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
