Job summary

Rise Executive Search & Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Internal Technical Sales Engineer with a strong background in electrical control and automation to support external customers and build relationships across the North East region. You will handle technical enquiries, advise on product selections, and work with Field Sales Engineers to maximise sales opportunities.

The role involves quotation generation, profitability awareness, and contributing to a small team’s success.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• ONC/HNC in Electrical engineering (or other electrical engineering qualification).
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Experience in similar sales / customer service environment.
• Experience with an electrical engineering role, or a background in electrical distribution would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle all product technical enquiries.
• Understand and be familiar with the full product range and advise on selections.
• Liaise with Field Sales Engineers and other staff to achieve branch objectives and sales performance.
• Engage in other duties as required in a small team environment.
• Generate quotations for customers with commercial awareness to win orders while mindful of profitability.
