Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business to appoint a Technical Manager / Quality Manager who will lead site quality, food safety, and compliance activities.

You will own technical and quality functions across the site, working with production, operations, suppliers and senior leadership to maintain, improve and embed standards, with autonomy and broad responsibility in a growing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing in a technical/quality leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and QMS compliance.
• Experience managing supplier approvals and external audits.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, confident with decision-making and influence.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement in standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead site quality, food safety, and technical activities.
• Manage and continuously improve the QMS.
• Oversee supplier approval, performance, and compliance.
• Support production with technical expertise and problem solving.
• Review procedures and drive efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with customer standards and regulations.
• Lead audits and non-conformity remediation.
• Promote a positive quality culture across departments.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as key technical contact for customers and suppliers.
