Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment in Slough is seeking a Senior Technical Manager for a leading food manufacturer. You will own the site’s food safety, quality and technical compliance, partnering with Operations to consistently deliver standards on the factory floor.

As the on-site technical lead, you’ll drive FSQMS, BRCGS and HACCP systems, lead audits and regulatory inspections, manage allergens and product safety, and develop the Technical and Quality teams while shaping a strong safety culture at

Qualifications

Experience in chilled, high-care or short shelf-life food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of BRCGS and HACCP.
Experience leading audits (customer, BRCGS, third-party).
Knowledge of UK food safety legislation and compliance.
Experience working with retailers or major foodservice customers.
Strong leadership, influencing and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on approach and ability to challenge Operations.

Responsibilities

Lead the site's food safety, quality and technical compliance agenda.
Own the FSQMS, BRCGS and HACCP systems.
Lead external audits, customer visits and regulatory inspections.
Oversee allergen management, microbiological standards, traceability and product safety.
Manage technical incidents, complaints, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Drive a strong food safety and quality culture across the site.
Develop and support the Technical and Quality teams.
Partner with Operations to ensure standards are consistently delivered on the factory floor.
