Technical Manager

Job Description
  • Maintain and continuously improve the site's food safety and quality management system (FSQMS)
  • Ensure complaince with BRCGS, customer codes of practice, and all UK legal requirements
  • Lead the site quality assurance team
  • Deliver training, coaching, and development to ensure a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage customer audits, sute visits, and regulatory inspections (EHO, Trading Standards)
  • Support NPD and EPD trials, ensuring product safety and technical feasability, Leading on food safety by design throughout the NPD and EPD process
  • Validate new ingredients, suppliers, and processes before full production
  • Manage artwork approvals, specification creation, and laugh readiness
Experience / Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a technical manager or similar role within the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, and UK food legislation
  • Knowledge of retailer quality systems and portals
  • Food safety level 4
