Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Administrator to lead a multidisciplinary admin team. You will supervise staff, coordinate recruitment, and manage annual leave and sickness absence while liaising with HR and clinical teams to support efficient patient pathways.
The role emphasizes delivering high-quality administrative support, staff development, and effective communication with patients and colleagues across Bradford Royal Infirmary and partner centres.
To work as a member of the Radiology team providing patient coordination and ensuring all Radiology appointments including fast track, obstetric and all other Radiology appointments for Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Lukes Hospital and the Eccleshill Diagnostic Centre are correctly booked to meet all KPI's including all patients on a fast track cancer pathway. Actively participate in the provision of routine information and advice for patients and carers over the telephone and liaising with the appropriate teams. The post holder will improve patient experience by providing a friendly non clinical contact point for patients and their families. Working with the Service Manager and the Administration Manager to provide leadership management, supervision, and development of an effective flexible administrative support team. In addition the post holder will have an important role in assisting the Business Support Manager and the Administration Manager as a focal point for communication for all staff within the admin/secretarial team. To supervise and delegate work to the admin staff, participate in Trust and local inductions for new starters, staff training, appraisals, approving annual leave and managing sickness. Communicate with key departments to: o ensure all tests and diagnostic investigations are booked promptly in line with the agreed pathway and are completed in a timely manner and any issues are escalated. Where appropriate communicate regularly with patients to ensure that they are aware of upcoming appointments, diagnostic tests/investigations and operations and offer practical support with the arrangements.
