Job summary

John Lewis Partnership’s Waitrose shop in Hereford is looking for a Team Leader to deliver great customer service and drive store performance. You will work across the shop to support management, ensure safe operations, and fulfil online orders with a customer‑first approach.

The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) with varied shifts to include evenings and weekends. Night premium of £3.75 per hour applies between 22:00–06:00.

Qualifications

• Good people and leadership skills.
• Good understanding of retail and how to maximise commercial success.
• Experience of working in a customer facing role.
• Good stakeholder management skills when working with third parties and the wider Partnership.

Responsibilities

• Support the shop's management team with managerial tasks and collaborate with all areas to meet demand.
• Ensure Partners operate in a safe and legal manner.
• Fulfil online orders for home delivery drivers.
• Stock replenishment to keep shelves full and correctly positioned.
• Work with the wider team including checkout support and Click & Collect.
• Propose ideas to improve shop performance and commercial results.
• Help reduce wastage by following product dating and markdowns.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment with general shop tasks.
