Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Team Leader for EUROSPAR Clough to lead the store team and enhance the customer experience. The role is based in Clough, NI, and involves working within store hours, with flexibility required.

You will report to the Assistant Manager/Store Manager and help drive policies, staffing and operations to meet business goals. The ideal candidate has retail supervisory experience, strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18+ with store retail experience, including at least 6 months in a supervisory role.
• Natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
• Target driven to help store achieve business plans and priorities; focus on continuous improvement.
• Inspire team to perform for colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to follow policies, standards and practices.
• Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (keyholder).
• Be a positive role model and represent values: Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork, Integrity.
• Train, manage workload and support team while being hands-on in-store to allocate resources effectively.
• Support Store Manager to maximise performance by implementing store plan and priorities.
• Promote and participate in community initiatives with the store team.
• May be required to cover the Post Office as part of the role.

Full-time position available at 42.5 hours per week, working within the opening hours of the store, Monday to Sunday, 6:00am to Midnight, with full flexibility required. Please note, opening, closing and weekend shifts will be expected as part of the role.

A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers' expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

AsTeam Leaderyou will:

• Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.

• You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.

• Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
