Job summary

Henderson Group is hiring a Team Leader for SPAR Stewartstown. You will help lead the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences within store policies and community-minded initiatives.

Role involves hands-on team leadership, potential keyholder duties, and flexibility to cover Post Office services when required. Competitive benefits accompany a 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team alongside the Assistant/Store Manager, ensuring policy and standards are followed.
• Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (keyholder duties).

• Train, manage workload and support your team, while being hands-on in store to optimize resources for best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance and implement the store plan.
• Promote and participate in community initiatives and events.

Team Leader - SPAR Stewartstown

£14.63 per hour & great benefits.

Full-time position available, at 37.5 hours per week. Working within the opening hours of the store, Monday to Sunday, 7:00am to 10.00pm with full flexibility required. Please note, opening and closing and weekend shifts will be expected as part of the role.

A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers' expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

As Team Leader you will:

• Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• You will be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role and a P250 Post Office check will be required from the sucessful candidate.

Skills for Success

Joining us as Team Leader, the minimum criteria you'll need is:

• You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.
• A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
• Target driven to help to store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
• Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
