Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Team Leader at our Northern Ireland store. This full-time role offers 42.5 hours per week with flexible hours, including weekends.

You will lead the store team, model our values, and ensure excellent customer service while supporting the Store Manager to drive performance and community initiatives. We anticipate shifts across opening hours, with responsibilities including keyholder duties when required.

Qualifications

• Aged 18+ with store retail experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Able to lead a team and support store operations.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Willingness to cover flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager you will help to lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

AsTeam Leaderyou will:

• Alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager - leading the store team to follow store policies, standards and practices.
• Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model to the team and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity. Train, manage the workload and support your team, whilst being hands on in store - ensuring you work together to achieve the right resources in the right place at the right time to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance which includes understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Alongside the store team, actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• You may be required to cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.

Skills for Success

Joining us asTeam Leader,theminimum criteriayou’ll need is:

• You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) along with previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level leading a team of people in a customer-focused environment.
• A natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
• Target driven to help to store achieve their business plans/priorities and be focused on continuous improvement.
• Be able to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
