Five Acres High School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the support team. You will work under the SENDCO and support students with SEMH, learning and behavioural needs to access the curriculum and make progress.

• SEMH training or similar qualifications.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs in a mainstream setting.
• Strong ICT skills to support classroom learning.
• Good interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning, physical, medical, emotional and behavioural difficulties to access the curriculum.
• Assist in promoting academy ethos and values.
• Support teachers to enable high standards and independent learning.
• Assist in the management of the class and lead small group work as directed.
