Job summary

Greenshaw Learning Trust in England is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join Five Acres High School's Learning Support Team. The role supports students with SEMH, SEND, and behavioural needs, working under the SENDCO and classroom teachers to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve high standards.

The successful candidate will have GCSE level education or equivalent, NVQ 2 TA qualification, and experience in a secondary setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent required.
• NVQ Level 2 TA qualification or higher preferred.
• Experience working with SEMH students is essential.
• Experience in secondary education is advantageous.
• Strong ICT skills to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Work with the SENDCO and Learning Support Team to support pupils.
• Help students with learning, physical, medical, emotional and behavioural needs access the curriculum.
• Promote the academy ethos and values.
• Assist teachers to facilitate learning and support high standards.
• Attend in-service training and meetings as required.
• Provide in-class support for identified students or small groups.
• Prepare differentiated teaching materials and support inclusive practices.
• Support safeguarding and appropriate paperwork for groups.
