Job summary

Brantridge School in Haywards Heath is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils and teaching staff in creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

You will work with individuals or small groups, help implement behaviour strategies, and monitor pupil progress while providing feedback to the class teacher and wider staff team.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding or interest in supporting pupils with SEMH needs and ALN.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience and resilience with the ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
  • A positive, proactive attitude to support learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Job description

To support thecontinued development of our primary provision, we are seeking dedicated andenthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team. This is a rewardingopportunity to work closely with pupils and teaching staff to help create asafe, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in deliveringengaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Work with individual pupils or small groupsto support their learning, development and engagement.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour strategiesthat support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Help create and maintain a safe, structuredand positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to monitoring pupil progress andprovide feedback to the class teacher and wider staff team.
Key Requirements
  • Experience of working with children oryoung people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • An understanding of, or interest in,supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills,with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils andcolleagues.
  • Patience, resilience and the ability toremain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with acommitment to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
