Job summary

Lift Schools is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team on a 22-hour-per-week contract. You will support pupils with SEMH needs, help access lessons and contribute to their social and emotional wellbeing.

No extensive experience required; a willingness to learn, good communication, and a calm, empathetic presence in the classroom are valued. Level 3 TA training and progression opportunities are available with support from the school.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning needs, including SEND, so they can access lesson content and achieve their goals.
• Help students build independent learning skills and confidence in managing their own progress.
• Work alongside teachers to plan, assess and guide high quality lessons.
• Guide small group or individual interventions to help students achieve together.
• Build trusted relationships with students and support positive behaviour across the school.
• Work with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents and carers to support every student's learning journey.
