Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in the Greater Manchester area. You will support Year 4 pupils during school hours, working Monday to Friday within the full academic year.

The role offers pay in line with the Level 3 TA scale and requires a confident, proactive approach to assist learning and behaviour management.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
• Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support for Year 4 pupils.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning and progression.
• Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities, including additional support needs.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and assessment support.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and support staff.

We are currently recruiting a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term basis at a welcoming primary school in the Greater Manchester area

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school


• Experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4


• Confidence working independently and delivering interventions


• Strong behaviour management and communication skills


• A caring, proactive, and professional approach


• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
