Job summary

Engage Education in Rochdale is partnering with a warm, inclusive secondary school to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for dedicated 1:1 and small-group SEN support. You will help create a supportive learning environment and build strong connections with students.

You'll work closely with colleagues, report to the SENCO, and commit to the full academic year from September 2026 to July 2027, with DBS on update service desirable but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support.
• DBS on update service desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specifically tailored 1:1 & small group SEN support.
• Create warm and inspiring atmosphere for students throughout the school day.
• Build meaningful rapport with students and report to the SENCO.
• Communicate with colleagues and contribute to SEN planning and reviews.
• Be based in one Rochdale secondary school for the full academic year.

• Located in one Rochdale secondary school for full academic year

Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Benefits:

• Paid £95 - £110 per day during term time
• Monday to Friday role from September 2026 to July 2027

Level 2 Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:
