Job summary

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a friendly primary school in Levenshulme to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1, Years 1 and 2. The role is full-time, starting September 2026, focusing on classroom support and targeted interventions.

The successful candidate will promote inclusive learning, build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents, and help develop literacy and numeracy skills within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, caring and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils across Years 1 and 2 both within the classroom and through small group interventions.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Levenshulme to recruit a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work across Years 1 and 2, providing classroom support, delivering interventions, and helping to create engaging learning experiences for all pupils.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1.

Key responsibilities include:

You will have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
