Job summary

Smile Education Recruitment is recruiting a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Greater Manchester for a full-time, long-term role through the academic year. Start ASAP with pay in line with the Level 3 TA scale.

You will provide in-class support for Year 4 pupils, run small groups and targeted interventions, and assist the class teacher with planning and assessment. DBS update is required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
• Previous experience as a TA in a primary school.
• Experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support for Year 4 pupils.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning and progress.
• Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those requiring additional support.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and assessment support.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other support staff.

• A caring, proactive, and professional approach


• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
