Job summary

Talent Recruitment Group is helping a primary school in Bury, Greater Manchester, recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start. The role is full-time and involves supporting the class teacher, delivering inclusive lessons, and assisting pupils with learning and development.

You will work with individual pupils and small groups, support pupils with SEND when needed, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant classroom experience.
  • Previous experience supporting children within a UK primary school.
  • Knowledge or experience of working with pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • The ability to use initiative and adapt to the needs of pupils and the school.

Responsibilities

  • Provide additional support for children with SEND, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

  • Observe pupil progress and communicate feedback to teaching staff.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Help supervise pupils during breaktimes, school trips, and other activities when required.
  • Promote safeguarding and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a primary school in Bury that is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.

The Role
