Job summary

Prospero Teaching are working with a welcoming primary school in Ipswich seeking a committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. You will support pupils across the primary age range, including those with SEN, helping them access learning and develop confidence.

Experience supporting children with SEN (autism/ADHD), patient and empathetic, you will work with class teachers to implement IEPs, promote wellbeing, and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with Primary age students.
• Has experience supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour
• Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the primary age range, maximum students in class at anytime.
• Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Provide support for children with additional needs.
• Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
• Assist in managing behaviour positively and promoting emotional wellbeing.
