Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a lovely and caring school in the NG8 area of Nottingham to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant. The role supports pupils with ASD and ADHD, helping them feel secure, engaged and able to access learning through classroom and 1:1 support.

The successful candidate will work alongside teaching staff on an ongoing basis, starting ASAP. The position offers dedicated consultant support, CPD courses, and competitive pay rates.

Qualifications

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD.
• Experience working within an education setting.

The school provides a supportive environment for pupils with additional needs and is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who can help pupils feel secure, engaged and supported in their learning.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on an ongoing basis, starting ASAP, to support pupils with ASD and ADHD. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide classroom and individual support, encourage positive engagement and work alongside teaching staff to help pupils access their learning.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD
• Experience working within an education setting
• Strong communication skills
• A patient and caring approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
