Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Ripley, renowned for its ethos and commitment to every child.

The school is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant on a part-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm, to provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with SEMH needs, helping regulate emotions, engage with learning and build confidence in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND pupils in a primary setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH.
• Experience providing 1:1 support.
• Good understanding of the EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with SEMH needs.
• Help regulate emotions and engage with learning.
• Support classroom learning and development of confidence in the child.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to maintain a nurturing environment.

The school is looking for a caring and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant who can help create a positive and nurturing learning experience.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a part-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with SEMH needs, helping them regulate their emotions, engage with learning and develop confidence within the classroom.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with SEND pupils within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs
• Experience providing 1:1 support
• A good understanding of the EYFS
• A patient, calm and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
