Job summary

TeacherActive are working with a welcoming primary school in Castle Bromwich seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 class. The role focuses on children with additional needs, delivering tailored interventions and keeping pupils engaged throughout the day.

The successful candidate will hold Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or equivalent, have SEN experience in KS1, and demonstrate patience, resilience and strong behavior management.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1.
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD or SEMH needs.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEN in KS1 to deliver tailored interventions.
• Maintain engagement and support throughout the school day.
• Work within a KS1 classroom as part of a teaching assistant team.

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

The school is looking to take on a full time, long term SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a KS1 classroom. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping to deliver tailored interventions and ensuring pupils remain engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly within KS1
• A strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD or SEMH
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A can-do attitude and willingness to support across the classroom
