Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant in Hilton for a full-time, long-term position from September 2026 to July 2027. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with learning difficulties, helping them access activities and develop key skills.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm during term time, with opportunities for CPD and ongoing support from consultants. A caring, patient approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children within an EYFS or primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
• A patient, caring and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to get involved and make learning fun

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with learning difficulties, helping them access classroom activities

The school is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026 until July 2027, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm during term time. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS child with learning difficulties, helping them access classroom activities, develop key skills and enjoy a positive and rewarding experience at school.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or higher Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children within an EYFS or primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
• A patient, caring and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to get involved and make learning fun
