Job summary

An education supply agency in Caerphilly is looking for a passionate Teaching Assistant to support primary school teachers and assist students, including those with additional learning needs. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to enhancing students' educational experiences. Candidates should have a relevant background and be registered with the Educational Workforce Council. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is necessary for this role, and while speaking Welsh is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Job description
Teaching Assistant (Full Time/Part Time). Caerphilly

£444.60 – 509.60 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The Role

Vision for education are recruiting for those individuals with a background and passion for education and care to work as a teaching assistant based in the Caerphilly area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teachers by providing support to students and managing classroom activities. Your responsibilities at times may involve supporting small groups of children or on a 1:1 basis with additional learning needs. The age of the children you could be supporting may vary daily from foundation phase to working alongside key stage 2 pupils. Therefore, you would be required to be flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable.

Do you currently hold a DBS? Is it on the update service? Here at Vision are more than happy to assist with this is required. It is a requirement as part of the registration process to have an enhanced DBS check.

The ability to speak Welsh is preferred but is not essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (We can support with this)
  • Registered with Educational Workforce Council (EWC) – we can support with this process.
