Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher to join a specialist provision in Dudley, focusing on a KS3 class of 10 boys with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). The role requires a creative, sensory-led approach and strong emphasis on communication development and life skills.

You will work with teaching assistants and therapists, delivering personalised, hands-on learning and monitoring progress against EHCP targets.

Start: Immediate Start
Hours: Full Time | 5 Days per Week | Long-Term Opportunity
Pay: £150 – £250 per day (dependent on experience) | Paid to Scale

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join a specialist provision in Dudley, teaching a KS3 class of 10 boys with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The pupils are working broadly at EYFS attainment levels, so the role requires a creative and flexible approach to teaching, with a strong focus on sensory-led learning, communication development, engagement, and life skills. Lessons are highly personalised and designed to meet the individual needs of learners through practical, hands-on, and multi-sensory experiences.

The Role:

• Teaching a KS3 class of 10 boys with SLD.
• Delivering engaging sensory-based and experiential learning activities.
• Supporting pupils working at EYFS developmental levels.
• Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
• Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching pupils with SLD, SEND, or complex learning needs.
• Knowledge of EYFS approaches and developmental learning.
• Confident delivering sensory and communication-focused learning.
• Patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting every pupil to achieve their potential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills within a specialist setting.
