Job summary

Monarch Education in Worcester is supporting a well-established SEMH school by recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to start ASAP. The role involves planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH and SEND needs, within a nurturing and structured environment.

You will collaborate with Teaching Assistants, parents, carers and external professionals to tailor learning and ensure every pupil can thrive.

Qualifications

  • QTS (preferred) or strong teaching experience without QTS.
  • Experience with SEND (ASC/ADHD/SEMH).
  • Ability to adapt curriculum to individual learning needs.
  • Strong behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for SEMH/SEND pupils.
  • Work with Teaching Assistants, parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment and support pupil progress.

SEN Teacher

Location: Worcester
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Pay: Teachers’ Pay Scale (experience dependent)

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with a range of SEMH and SEND requirements.

You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, working closely with Teaching Assistants, parents, carers and external professionals to ensure every pupil receives the support they need to succeed.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Essential
  • QTS (preferred), OR strong teaching experience with unqualified teacher status
  • Experience working with students with SEND (particularly ASC, ADHD, or SEMH)
  • Ability to adapt and personalise the curriculum for individual learning needs
  • Strong behaviour management strategies
  • Resilience, creativity, and a genuinely supportive attitude
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
  • Experience in a special school or alternative provision
  • Understanding of SEND legislation and safeguarding requirements
