JOB DESCRIPTION

Ekkinox is seeking a Full‑Cycle Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist for its operations in Chatham, Ontario. This role is 70% talent acquisition‑focused with 30% HR responsibilities. This is an on‑site position based in Chatham, Ontario with occasional travel to our Windsor, Ontario facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment

• Source screen and hire qualified drivers
• Manage the entire 360 recruitment cycle from sourcing to placement
• Meet established KPIs i.e. daily weekly reach‑outs conversion rates time‑to‑fill.
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for key roles
• Conduct interviews reference checks and negotiate offers
• Partner with hiring manager to align hiring strategies with business needs

HR Generalist Support

• Assist with onboarding employee relations and HR compliance
• Support employee file management and HR documentation
• Advise on day‑to‑day HR matters as needed
• Support employee engagement initiatives
• Provide backup support for compliance documentation and audits as needed

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in recruitment or HR ideally in a transportation or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of the Canada Labour Code and familiarity with Highway traffic and DOT regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with ATS CRM systems or HRIS platforms is an asset
• A client‑focused mindset with some experience or interest in business development
• HR education or certification (CHRP HR diploma / degree or equivalent) is an asset
• Advanced Excel proficiency i.e. pivot tables formulas filters or tracking KPIs reports etc.

OFFER AND BENEFITS

• Earn an annual salary range between $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 depending on experience
