Job summary

Hilton London Gatwick is seeking a Switchboard Operator to join our front of house team. You will handle guest calls, forward lines to the right departments, and relay messages with precision, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

The role emphasizes excellent English communication, a calm and organised approach, and a commitment to high service standards within a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel front desk or similar customer-facing role.
• Excellent spoken and written English with clear communication.
• Calm, organised and able to prioritise tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Answer and forward incoming telephone calls on the hotel switchboard.
• Route calls to the correct department or colleague.
• Take messages and relay information accurately when needed.

What you will do

Switchboard operators in our team create the start of an exceptional experience when guests get in touch. Operating switchboard, answering and forwarding incoming telephone calls. Transferring calls to the appropriate person or department. Taking down and passing on messages where necessary.
