Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund is seeking a talented investment professional to help steer the Fund’s responsible investment and Sustainability-led Strategy. You will work with the pooling partner LPPI to implement the Strategic Asset Allocation while managing a small team in a flexible Bristol-based setting.

You will lead on climate and biodiversity considerations, oversee a broad mix of asset classes and engage with members, committees and external partners to advance the Fund’s long-term

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Strong understanding of climate science and natural capital, and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to the strategic direction of the Fund’s investment approach.
• Identify and discuss green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor and oversee investments in public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on the work of LPPI through partnership working.
• Report progress to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to inquiries from members, media and the public; represent the Fund in meetings.
